Clinical laboratories are at the center of modern healthcare. Every diagnostic test, infection identification, and treatment decision depends on accurate microbial analysis. The University of Florida’s Clinical Laboratory Microbiologist (CLM) Graduate Certificate provides a structured pathway for microbiology graduates and working professionals to gain the skills required for clinical lab environments.
Students can combine their graduate certificate with a Master of Science (34-36 credits) or choose to earn a graduate certificate only (18 credits).

Hybrid Format: The lectures will be 100% online, which offers flexible scheduling, making the program accessible to a wide range of students, including working professionals. Students’ physical presence will only be required for a 5-day bootcamp on campus with laboratory classes and clinical practicums that can be coordinated at a lab near you.
